General Description
HW Series Horizontal Volute Mixed-flow pump are composed of pump cover,impeller,casing,shaft sleeve, shaft & bearing Assemble..etc.
The pump cover is a part which connects pump casing and inlet pipe, there should be a reasonable gap between the cover and impeller,if the gap is too small, the rubbing action will occurs and a big gap will result of too much liquid return flow to side of impeller from higher pressure, that would decrease the pump efficiency, the gap can be adjusted by thickness of the pump gasket, the suitable gap normally is 0.3-0.7mm.
The shaft sealing are glade-packing,its fuction is to prevent air get into the pump and too much water coming out of the pump along the shaft.
Shaft sleeve is used to preventing the rubbing between shaft and glade-pcaking, the shaft sleeve should be replaced if it wearing out.
The pump shaft is supported by single ball bearing, the bearing lubricated by oil and the oil should be keeping within oil level indicator, or can be lubricated by grease, to charge the grease when assemble the bearing, to charge the grease when distallation the bearing cover for small pump, to charge the grease by grease cup for big pump.
The screw hole on top of pump casing are used for charge water before pump runing, or can be used for drain air by vacumm pump.
